When I was single and had a lot more time and money, I did a lot of shopping. After marriage, 2 kids, and making the hard decision to stay home while my kids are young, I found that the flesh was willing but the wallet was weak when it came to retail therapy. I found myself constantly surfing online retailers, finding things I desperately wanted to buy because they were just. so. cool. Eventually, in order to exorcise my shopping demons (and keep my marriage intact) I started blogging my finds. This way, I get the “OOooo look what I found!” joy of buying something new and fabulous (and showing it off) - without actually buying everything wonderful and having a pantry entirely stocked with ramen noodles. Plus if I ever hit the PowerBall numbers, I’ll have all the links for everything I love in one convenient location when I go on my unbridled shop-a-thon. Because I’m subtle like that.
