We love our daddy’s. They’re the strong shoulder to lean on and we know that they always have our back. They’re always there for us and treat us like their little princesses.
So this Father’s Day, show dad how much he means to you with a nice gift. While we’d like to buy him that yacht or his own personal golf course, it doesn’t take your whole paycheck to get your dad something really cool, really practical and something that will make him smile and think of you every time he uses it!
Take a look at our picks for great Dad’s Day gifts for $50 or less!
Grilling season isn’t over yet (it’s barely started!) but even when the time comes, you’ll want to put the grill away ready to go for next season.
A great gadget sure to help you get the job done right is the Grill Daddy. With it’s gravity fed steam cleaning action, it will loosen and remove baked on grease and grime. The heavy duty stainless steel bristles stand up to this tough job. A polished airplane grade aluminum alloy frame offers an ergonomic grip, keeps hands cool and resists corrosion.
The Grill Daddy is safe to use on steel, iron and porcelain grills. Made with FDA approved materials, the brushes are removable, replaceable and dishwasher safe.
The Grill Daddy platinum edition (pictured here) retails for around $60.

There’s something eternally classic about the Grecian look.
Fluid knit fabrics create timeless silhouettes that compliment a myriad of feminine body types. It’s a look is as timeless as the period it takes it’s inspiration from ... and is seemingly always modern and fresh.
This is true for one of our favorite dresses of the summer season. On trend in taupe, Matty M’s layered knit maxi dress is something you’d imagine Aphrodite herself floating around in.
In a luxe rayon fabric, the maxi features a v-neck with a draped overlay and braided shoulder straps. Cut long and loose, this dreamy dress will be a staple for you during these steamy summer months.

ThisNext Fashion Tastemaker, Stephanie Johnson, has an eye for style! And when it comes to this summer, while not all of us can make an exotic destination vacation, we sure can dress like we are!
This weeks destination inspiration? Tel Aviv! Here’s what Stephanie Johnson had to say about it -
”My husband is from Israel and we head to Tel Aviv nearly every summer to visit family. Tel Aviv boasts fabulous beaches but is also decidedly urban with style to match. Here are some of my favorite picks for both day and night!”

Tribal prints really are everywhere this season! Around our necks, on our ponchos, and now on our shoes.
These stiletto platforms from Sam Edelman feature a design they call ‘Lima Print’ in black and white that’s vaguely reminiscent of a South American alpaca blanket, except not as cozy and won’t make you itchy.
Everything from the tribal print to the raffia-covered platform to the wooden stacked heel reckons hand-made ‘native’ goods.
The natural-ness of the shoe means that it’s great for summer parties. Raffia is a great cover for a platform as it goes with absolutely everything and brings down any pretension that comes with a stiletto heel.

No matter how far ahead I start scoping out the warm-weather trends or how diligent I am when it comes to fleshing out my summer wardrobe, accessories included, I know what will inevitably happen.
When summer actually hits - in all its sunny, sweltering glory - I’ll only actually end up wearing the smallest possible fraction of my new clothing, opting instead for whatever’s most comfortable, familiar, and flattering ... and saving the rest for the rare special occasion when I’m willing to branch out.
That’s why this time around, I’m attempting to narrow down my seasonal shopping to investment pieces that are stylish, comfy, and totally versatile ... and what’s more versatile than a convertible skirt-turned-maxi-dress?
I spotted this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent floral skirt/dress at Bloomingdales and instantly fell in love. It’s romantic and pretty, but unlike many of this season’s show-stopping maxi dresses, it’s not the kind of outfit that you can only take pictures in once and then must keep in hibernation until everyone forgets you wore it. It’s pretty without being too conspicuous, and can easily be dressed up and revamped into a totally new look, whether you’re rocking it as a skirt with a pretty blouse, as a halter or strapless dress with a pair of platform espadrilles. Or even over a swimsuit at the beach or poolside!
With so many different ways to wear it and dress it up or down, a convertible skirt/dress like this one can easily become your summer 2011 style staple!

We girls have more body beauty products out there than we can count. Creams, lotions, sprays, washes, serums ... fresh scent, floral scent, fruity scents ... the list goes on and on.
But what about the men? Isn’t it time for them to have a high-end body product option too? Enter Pattern. It’s an all-natural body wash or lotion that leaves skin soft, supple and cleansed without stripping away natural oils.
Plus, the most interesting thing about this high-quality body line is the unique scents. Subtly masculine scents like Black Pepper, Citrus and Nutmeg are still unisex enough that you can lather up too without having too worry about smelling too manly! The Pattern Sage scent was even named Men’s Health June 2011 best bodywash and has a matching body lotion as well! Each scent has it’s own special quality - pH balanced, deep moisturizing, for the active dude, for face, body and hair - there’s one for everyone!
And just in time for Father’s Day, we want to give one lucky Hiver a chance to give dear dad a Pattern body wash and lotion set! Valued at almost $90, this awesome line can be yours (for Dad) just by commenting on our Facebook wall and telling us why your dad is the best dad!
We love earrings! They’re such a perfect accessory to make that outfit POP. When you’re dancing at the club, you need something glittery bouncing off the light to show you mean business, or pair them with a sweet sundress as a pair of statement earrings.
Grab these Mega Peacock Drop Earrings from Topshop before they’re gone. Peacock feathers are so popular right now, but forget flimsy feathers! These earrings are actual peacocks made with an antique-gold metal and hang in chandelier form, making them luxurious and totally unique!

Nothing says bright sunny day like bright sunny colors! This summer, it’s no doubt that colors are in.
From cheery citrus hues to vibrant jewel tones, any and all color is a go! Add it as a fun pop to your ensemble with a pair of shorts or hot pair of heels, or don it in copious amounts by trying one of this seasons uber-trendy maxi dresses!

When it comes to Hollywood starlets, there’s always a batch of fresh new faces ready for their spot in the lime light!
We asked you last week which young Hollywood starlet you thought showed the best style and you chose Sarah Hyland, best known for her role as the daughter in Modern Family.
We love how she mixed edgy leather with sweet chiffon and continued the appealing contrast with classic nude pumps and a sultry smoky eye to highlight her green eyes. Casacading waves complete her look.
We loved her look and so did you! Take a look at our slideshow to see some more tuff gal + romantic chick combos!
We all need a little glamour in our lives ... and there is nothing more glamorous than vintage-inspired accessories, especially a big, bold pair of sunglasses!
From Liz Taylor to Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O. to Sophia Loren - oversized sunnies add style, sophistication and a bit of mystery to all of your looks.
Nasty Gal is featuring a gorgeous pair of oversized oval sunnies in a deep burgundy colored plastic frame. Detailed with wavy arms and two-tone lenses in a violet shade, these spectacles are nothing short of spectacular!

Tribal or ikat print is a stimulating pattern that looks great head-to-toe, like as a maxi dress, or in small doses with accessories like a summer scarf. You can go as bold as you like with a tribal print in bright colors, or keep it simple with classics like nude or white and black.
Take a look at our five tribal print picks, all at different price points so we can all participate in this pattern trend and give it a try-bal! (get it??)

Punch up your summer wardrobe with classic stripes!
Go for the fail-safe nautical look with navy and white, the eye-catching contrast of black and white, or really make it interesting with unexpected colors! We’re loving multi-colored stripes or something bright like a pop of yellow for a really fun look, or if you’re wanting something a little more subtle, try heather grey and white or a washed out beige.
Plus, the best things about stripes is that it’s a pattern that will stay in style year after year and season after season (just add layers)!

DESIGNER: Rachel Comey
INSPIRATION: The cool indie-spirited girl that Comey always designs for.
TOP LOOKS: A high-waisted white cotton skirt with matching vest and diaphanous blouse with bandeau top; breezy bow blouses with short shorts; a cropped tank top with a button front high-waisted black skirt; bustier top dresses that were flowy and asymmetrical at the bottom; lots of mixed prints
ACCESSORIES: The designer’s own selection of sandals in the form of lace-up flats and wedges, platform booties, and thick heeled open toe shoes
WHO WAS THERE: Plaid-meister Steven Alan, Cathy Horyn from The New York Times
WHAT WE THOUGHT: It’s always nice to watch a show where a designer knows their target customer and hits the bulls eye. As the parade of very wearable pieces went down the runway - breezy white dresses and tops, silk plaid blouses and shorts, sweet halter dresses, and even a darling Chloe-esque summer suit - you could envision the girl who buys Rachel Comey’s clothes. She seems, to this reviewer anyway, to embody a Zooey Deschanel-like charm and quirkiness. And she would probably scoop up everything that Comey showed.
