Hello Hivers! I've relocated to NYC, working for Lela Rose, and am busy discovering new up-and-coming designers, furthering my obsession with sky high heels, moroccan home decor, Eugina Kim hats, sweater coats, equestrian accessories, and anything with buckles!
Chloe Sevigny‘s style is innate, there’s nothing contrived or forced about her looks, which is refreshing in today’s stylist-run-amuck scene. Chloe carries a vintage charm about her, but keeps looks young by adding something usexpected, like orange lipstick or wild sunglasses. Chloe’s style is very classic (she loves YSL, Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler) but she also likes the fashion indies, like Imitation of Christ and vintage Thierry Mugler. And guess who was wearing high-waisted jeans before anyone thought they had a chance at a comeback? She’s not afraid to take a chance and she’s not afraid of the worst-dressed list, which makes her a style star in my eyes.
Margherita Missoni is a celebutante on the rise! With a famous name, the classic looks of a modern-day Ali MacGraw, and a closet worthy of the best dressed list, she’s true style icon material. Margherita loves the brightly colored prints of her namesake, as well as designs by her dear friend Zac Posen. Her fashion favorites are long, embellished gowns, bright, colorful dresses, circle skirts, little shifts, and all-over prints. Look and learn my pretties!
You may recognize her face from the current Georgio Armani and Burberry campaigns. She also graced nearly every top designer’s runway this season. She’s model-on-the-rise Agyness Deyn, and she’s quickly becoming a style icon on and off the runways. Agyness’s style is a combination of downtown edge, English rocker, and relaxed bohemian. She spends her time between shows in oversized rocker tee’s, leggings, and long necklaces.
Diane Keaton‘s character Annie Hall, from the eponymous movie, master of the boy-girl look, has been an inspiration to countless designers and celebrities (think Kate Moss) over the years. So her borrowed-from-the-boys approach to dressing is as timeless as it is chic. Tailored vests, wide-legged pants and the classic button-down shirt look effortless, and can be dressed up with accessories, like a sophisticated hat, a striped scarf, or trendy oxfords. This look is best when you mix in one feminine element, like a tweed mini skirt, or a billowy white shirt to balance out the masculine pieces.
Audrey Hepburn, most famous for putting a little black dress in everyone’s closet, is the quintessential style setter. Never a follower of trends or fads, Hepburn wore what suited her best, creating a timeless look that holds up to this day.
Hepburn did it with an understated glamor accentuated by clean lines and a slim physique. Her style was all about keeping it simple, featuring an everyday wardrobe stocked with ballet flats, LBD’s, skinny pants, and men’s dress shirts.
So the next time you are trying to decide between that Tucker smocked collar shirt or which Tory Burch flats to wear, just ask yourself “What Would Audrey Do?”
Move over Mariah! Step back Beyonce! Rihanna is the new pop fashion queen. This fab fashionista has it all: a rock star career, amazing bod, and the best designers in the biz dressing her every move. Like in her new video, I Hate That I Love You, Rihanna shows how to put class and sexy sophistication into lingerie. So take a clue from the vid: throw out those granny panties and get your hands on some vintage-inspired silk lingerie!
As famous for her envy-inspiring looks as she is for her singing and acting careers, Jennifer Lopez is one hot mama. The queen of reinvention, La Lopez’s latest transformation is sexier than ever. No longer Jenny-From-The-Block, J.Lo oozes classy sex appeal in each of her looks. I couldn’t get enough of her over-the-top sexy trench that brought a drama all its own to the video. So watch “Do It Well,” pick the look you like best, and find out how to steal three of her fierce styles!
Anyone who can fit seven different outfit changes into one video, and look stunning in all of them, is working hard. Our favorite Fergalicious Pea has hit her fashion peak with her latest video, “Clumsy”. Fergie sizzles as she transitions from an innocent 50’s style pink dress, to the bad girl that we all know, with smokey eyes, a killer jacket, and impossibly high heels. Watch the video, pick the look you like best, and find out how to steal three of Fergie’s not-soClumsy-at-all styles.
