Booties, Shooties, and Ankle Boots Galore!

As much as I hate to subscribe to huge trends, I've succumbed to this one...my booty wants a pair of booties! You wouldn't think they'd be universally flattering, but now there's such a variety of styles out there that you're bound to find a pair out there that make your gams look good. They're just too irresistibly cute when paired opaque tights or skinny jeans. Whatever you may call them - booties, ankle boots, shooties (shoes x booties), there's so many out there to pick from - from suede to belted, cut out to peep toe, studded to ruched. That's why I need your help to pick a pair out, or, you can just take a look at my slideshow for your own shopping entertainment. Since I'm a shorty, of course they all have heels, that's just the way I roll.

Style News: Eva Mendes' Nude Calvin Klein Obsession Ad Unveiled in Times Square

Eva Mendes has gotten controversial on us before with her nude pics in Italian Vogue. A couple of weeks ago, we shared the news that U.S. television networks refused to air the racy Calvin Klein "Secret Obsession" perfume commercials with more nude Eva. But of course Calvin Klein likes to push the boundaries and to launch "Secret Obsession" and kick off New York Fashion Week, he's stuck an enormous Eva Mendes Secret Obsession billboard in the middle of Times Square. In addition to unveiling the billboard on 47th and Broadway - CK had hot male models on hand offering passersby the first chance to smell the seductive Secret Obsession fragrance. New York Fashion Week Alert: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Starts Tomorrow on Stylehive

We've been running a few previews of shows we're really looking forward to on Stylehive over the past few days, but tomorrow, Stylehive's coverage goes wall-to-wall. Editors Chris Kensler, Sabrina Newman, and Lisanne Silverman will be all over the 2008 Spring fashion debuting in New York City and Brooklyn (where we are the official press sponsor of Brooklyn FashionIndie Fashion Week). Next Big Thing: Meet 21-Year-Old Design Prodigy Yotam Solomon

Before he could legally drink a glass of wine, Yotam Solomon had already been violin prodigy in Austria and a design prodigy in Israel. Launching his signature collection at the tender age of 20, Yotam uses fun color combinations to create bold and futuristic designs that include geometric patterns, architectural shapes, leather inserts and expertly placed cut-outs. Not only does he design sophisticated silhouettes, he also designs footwear! (Yay!) Having already been featured in the pages of British Vogue, and having shown at LA Fashion Week, we can expect much more from Yotam as he hits his mid-20s!
