Tim Gunn, the hardest-working man in the style biz (he’s got two Bravo series under his belt, logs overtime hours to mentor his protégés, and is Chief Creative Officer of Liz Claiborne), shows no signs of slowing down. With season two of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style coming soon, and Project Runway season five gearing up for production this summer, Gunn told Stylehive that he’s “fully expecting” fellow judge Nina Garcia back on Runway… but he has some concerns about the fate of oh-so-fierce Christian Siriano! Stylehive talked to celebs Sharon Stone, Jennifer Beals, William Baldwin, Rex Lee, Alan Cumming, David Bromstad, Candis Cayne, and (YUM) Jason Lewis on the red carpet at the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco. SEE THE SLIDESHOW to see what tips I snagged on how to look fabulous, what trends are hot for homes, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, what Sex and the City hottie Jason Lewis likes on his women!

Any time is a good time for accessories (just ask my good friend Visa), but we’re designating this week ELLE ACCESSORIES Week in honor of the magazine’s virtual sister elleaccessories.com! Today’s focus is on the foundation of every outfit: the shoes. I spent hours virtually flipping through the online mag’s oh-so-fashionable spreads to find my favorite picks for Spring and Summer. I know, it’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. Click SEE SLIDESHOW for my top ELLE ACCESSORIES footwear finds!
ELLE ACCESSORIES is my favorite go-to-guide for all things accessories, and now they’re the most e-accessible thanks to their new Emag: elleaccessories.com! Something as simple as a bag, necklace, or belt can radically transform - or ruin! - the vibe of an outfit. As Anne Slowey, editor for ELLE ACCESSORIES put it: “You can’t have style without accessories. Without accessories, fashion is just clothes.” With so many options, elleaccessories.com is an amazing, and totally fun, online guide, weeding out the clunkers and bringing you instant access to the season’s hottest trends and must-haves. So to start ELLE ACCESSORIES Week on Stylehive, we begin with the accessory that’s a universal obsession: handbags! Check out my SLIDESHOW for 5 amazing picks inspired by the virtual pages of elleaccessories.com.

You have saved your pennies, or simply splurged, or maybe you are lucky enough to just go out and buy a closet full of Christian Louboutins. Now that you have them, all the jet-setting from party to party has left the best part, the luscious red soles, scratched and worn. Normally, I get my shoes re-soled whenever it is needed to extend their life but with Christian Louboutins, any sole from even the best shoe repairperson will not suffice. What to do? How to get them back? So go ahead, click READ MORE for the glorious news told exclusively to Stylehive about how this won’t be a problem anymore by the end of 2008 - remember, you heard it here first!
Standout pieces are hard to forget. Think Lindsay Lohan‘s motorcycle gloves, Katie Holmes‘ red oversized Birkin bag or Mary-Kate Olsen‘s Chanel knee-high gladiator sandals. But unlike celebrities, most of us don’t have the luxury of showcasing an item only once. Luckily, with some creativity you can easily wear an “It” piece over and over. Hopefully my new column will serve as inspiration. This week, I’m showing how to get many uses from a flashy metallic coat. Thanks to my friends at BPCM, I was able to borrow this stunning gold python jacket from Celine. There’s also a myriad of metallic alternatives readily available online (I’ve included a steal, a splurge and a maternity option in on my MyHive page!). Click READ MORE for my suggestions on how to mix it up with metallic.
If you didn’t get choked up during the Make Me A Supermodel finale when Holly was declared the winner then I hate to say it, but you might be a robot! This girl gave it everything and more to beat the three remaining guys. After years of struggling to break into the modeling industry, she didn’t give up and persevered in the face of rejection and criticism. Holly is a true testament to the old “believe in yourself” adage - and now she’s a supermodel! I just spoke to the adorable country girl to get the scoop on her big win and more. Pack your bags because this is one do-it-yourself beauty ride that is going to take you around the world. Shalini Vadhera, the celeb makeup artist turned beauty guru, logged tons of miles gathering homemade recipes from the planet’s every corner to write Passport to Beauty, spilling all the down-to-earth details of international beauty. Answering the questions of why Asian women radiate luminous skin and why Brazilian women are so super-hot, its all about taking the au natural route to get your best glow. Click READ MORE for tricks on how you can get a first-class ticket to goddess-like beauty!
It was really anyone’s guess who would take the cake on Make Me A Supermodel. There was gorgeous Perry, the obvious front-runner, whose confidence and sense of humor won everyone over; Ben, the former prison guard who stepped it up and silenced the judges when they began doubting his potential; Ronnie, the most adorable creature on the face of the planet who proved he could expand far beyond the confines of catalog work; and Holly, the strikingly beautiful farm girl who wanted this more than anything in the world. Click READ MORE for our exclusive interview with the three runners up.
Make Me A Supermodel has taken us on quite a ride. We laughed, we cried, we voted, we empathized, and most importantly, we learned valuable lessons about the modeling industry: it’s ruthless and NOT glamorous (however, something tells me this won’t stop thousands of people all over the country from pursuing a career in this cutthroat industry). Now the ride is over - America voted and decided to make innocent, wide-eyed country girl Holly into a supermodel. And now for the inevitable question: Will the hosts be back for Season 2?
