So you’re a pear-shaped lady, you’re slim and delicate on top, but full on the bottom. You can go crazy with frills, details, and embellishments upstairs, but have to exercise an exasperating amount of caution when it comes to the basement. While finding the perfect pair of pants, especially jeans, is a pain in the booty for ladies of varying booty sizes, this process is especially agonizing for pears. In fact, all the bootylicious babes I know have more or less forsaken pants altogether!

1) Dark denim is the perfect choice for shrinking a lower half. Wear them with a solid colored top that hits below the waist, which will help disguise large hips and thighs and gives the illusion of a more streamlined silhouette.

2) Wear any vertical pattern on the bottom half, like a pair of super-chic pinstripe pants, to slim and lengthen your legs.

3) Avoid side pockets at all costs, as this obviously draws attention to the hips. Trousers with front-pockets are more flattering and draw the waist inward.
