We’ve all been well informed that this season is ALL about color. From super bold shades to ultra subdued hues, it’s not what you wear, it’s the colors you wear it in! The clear favorite from the crayon box this season was yellow, especially blinding shades of day-glo neon - which illuminated just about every spring runway show.
To keep from looking like a walking highlighter, take a cue from fashion big-wigs like ThreeasFour, Nanette Lepore, and Phillip Lim, and tame your blaring yellow ensembles with subdued separates in neutral shades. The blending is so harmonious, designers are now removing the middle man and creating single pieces using these contrasting tones.
