As we try in vain to keep up with our busy lives, taking short-cuts in the beauty department can be tempting, and we may skip over the little things, focusing on the seemingly more important things, that really aren’t. You follow me? Read on then for my 5 little tricks - with 5 products I found in the Hive - that require minimum effort, yet yield maximum results!
1. Lighten the inner corners
The majority of us do not get the recommended 8 hours of sleep each night, however, there is an ultra easy way to fake this. All you gotta do is line the inner corners of the eys with a brightening stick (white liner works or shadow works too) and POOF you will look rested and refreshed.

Benefit Cosmetics Eye Bright, $18
2. Moisturize
This goes for your face and body. Don’t just moistuize when your skin is dry or if you’re going to be wearing a leg-baring outfit, moisturize ALL THE TIME. There are loads and loads of makeup products to help create the illusion of smooth, even skin, but none of these can beat actually HAVING smooth, even skin. Moisturize your face twice a day for a week and then write me a thank-you letter expressing how radically improved your skin is! Moisturizing your body is equally important so don’t slack in that department.
Lancome Matifying Moisturizing Lotion, $36
3. Illuminate
It takes a few seconds so dab some illuminator on your cheeks and it makes a HUGE difference, and will transform your skin from pasty and lifeless to healthy and vibrant in an instant.

NARS The Multiple Multi-Purpose Stick, $37
4. Curl those lashes
It only takes a few seconds, and makes a HUGE difference when it comes to opening up your eyes and creating beautiful, seductive lashes.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, $19 2
5. Pluck those brows
I have no idea why we even have eyebrows, but I do know, all too well I might add, the huge role they play in our overall appearance! Just think about the way you look before heading in for a brow wax as opposed to after- it’s amazing! If you have thick bushy brows, make sure to keep them maintained and well-groomed at ALL times. Conversely, if you have thin, barely there brows, keep a brow pencil by your side at all times.

Tweezerman Slant Tweezers, $20 3

Thanks for the tips BreeBee! Also note, double-duty benefit’s “Eye Bright” by sweeping/blending a bit at the eyebrow arch to open-up your eyes (same premise as benefit’s “High Brow"). I love multi-tasking products, like NARS’ “The Multiple” (I have it in “Orgasm”, and it’s fan-tas-tic); however, if you’re on a budget (who isn’t w/the present economy?), for half the price, you can get Ramy’s “Face Gloss” for eyes/cheeks/lips, which is enclosed in cute tiny little compacts (mirror included!). With colors like, “Inner Glow”, “I’m Over You!”, and “Casual Sex!” (exclamation marks included!) at $18.50 a pop, how can you go wrong? TIP: if you’re interested in more than one color, check out the “gifts” section, where Ramy has 3-packs for $35 and 2-packs for $14.50! (Don’t ask me how that works, since they’re $18.50 each). On the topic of moisturizing, Ramy just released “Sleep In Beauty”, destined to be dubbed the “hook-up cream”. Intrigued? Check out http://www.ramybeautytherapy.com under the “skin” section (seriously, I just got it, and it rocks). By the way, I have sensitive/acne-prone skin, and Ramy products do me no harm (plus Ramy does not test on animals!) Anyway, thanks again Sabrina! Keep the tips comin’! XOXO, T
You know, I bought a white liner like that recently from Make Up Forever and I didn’t really know how to use it! Anyone have a pic of where exactly to put on the corners??
Also, I need something like that NARS blushstick that won’t melt in my hot car! Now, THAT would be a find!! I had the Blush Flash from Benefit and it totally melted...bummer!
Hey “designsby bari”!
Check out before and after ("decaf" and “leaded") pics at the benefit website.
I’m not sure if benefit has any blushes that would melt...they’re all basic compact powder, tint in a bottle, or paste in a tube. Most of benefit’s “blushes” also do double duty. If you’re looking for an illuminator as suggested by BreeBee, benefit has “Moon Beam” (tint in a bottle).
Hope that helps!
T
