First Time Here?

A few years ago, Tory Burch made tunics all the rage with her ethnic glam updates to the popular 60s style. Still a hot item, the loose fitting garment that flatters almost every body type is readily available in all different price ranges and materials. While an airy cotton version is a beach cover-up fave, a silk variation offers copious styling options. At the Office
As long as your tunic isn’t too short, it can easily work for the office. I downplayed the casual style with a skinny Laundry belt, Prada ombre pumps and this season’s popular boyfriend blazer from Theory. If you feel a little uncomfortable with the tunic’s length, a pair of tights is an easy fix. Try a sheer colored hose instead of opaque to stay seasonal. 

Casual Date
A tunic screams for accessories. When worn loose, I love piling on big necklaces in colors that compliment my dress. Stay modern with a pair of riding boots or gladiator sandals. A fun way to add a contrasting hue is letting your socks pop out just a little above your boots.

Night on the Town
Dress up (and sex up!) your tunic with a corset belt. I fell in love with this yellow one from Bebe. I then added some shine with sparkly hoops, a metallic chain purse from Tory Burch and gunmetal Manolo Blahniks. The higher the shoe the better: since most tunics have modest necklines it’s okay to show a lot of leg.
