First Time Here?

Last year we featured Cassie Kogler‘s journey from freak to fashion phenom. Since then, she and her flamboyantly fresh line New York Couture have caught fire. Fit for a punk princess, each of Cassie’s one-of-a-kind pieces are hand cut, sewn, and detailed. New York Couture is now sold in over 20 boutiques in Canada, Japan, Panama, and the states (including Patricia Field‘s boutique in NYC). Cassie isn’t surprised she’s Stylehive’s Next Big Thing. “I used to tell people in high school that I was going to be famous. I didn’t know for what...I guess I know now ”

Meet Cassie
“I’ve always had a sweet tooth for fashion.  When my sister and I were young my mom would dress us in Christian Dior frocks...ironic that as an adult that’s one of my favorite brands. My clothing line evolved because I wanted fun/unique garments to wear and honestly couldn’t find anything. I would make something...and people started to want it...then stores...and now I have a brand. It’s crazy how things work out.”

Cassie’s Inspirations
“Everything inspires me! My head is like a boiling pot of water with things just popping out. When I go out I like to see guys or girls (sometimes even guys dressed as girls...lol) all dressed up and I go home and dream of something fabulous. I’ll wake up and not be able to function until I make the dream reality.”

What’s Next for Cassie
“Every year it’s bigger and better!!!!  Our next Fashion Week show will be in September...hopefully MTV will want to make us a full time weekly show with all the craziness that goes on from shoots to shows to touring/etc.”
