Wearing a multi colored sequined Catherine Malandrino minidress, Lilo borrowed a play from her ‘BFF’ Samantha Ronson’s style play-book by topping the look off with a black fedora and threw in a play of her own by injecting some sweetness into the look with a fun pair of black Mary-Jane pumps. As much as I love fashion, the rate at which trends come and go can get pretty darn annoying sometimes! A few months ago, sequins were all the rage, remember that gold sequined dress worn by Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl that rendered all of us sequin fiends?? You couldn’t even walk into a store without being blinded by glittery sequined pieces. Soon enough, the light began to fade and sequined numbers grew increasingly sparse. However, the celebs don’t seem to want to let this trend die just yet and continue to step onto the red carpet in glittery frocks.
We all have our off days where we come home, look in the mirror, and wonder what on earth we possibly could have been on when we got dressed that morning. At age 26, handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff has achieved a level of acclaim and success that is the designer’s equivalent to the American Dream, I mean, what greater validation is there for a designer than the knowledge that your handbags are on virtually every ‘It Girl’s’ must-have list? While Lindsay’s outfit picks normally don’t thrill me, I have to say I am loving her handbag. On a recent stroll to, well, I have no idea where, she opted for this two-toned Jill Stuart stunner. Black and white on a handbag can look a bit dated but the patent finish gives it just the contemporary edge it needs, and it really pops against her otherwise black ensemble. You may remember Lohan was the face of Jill Stuart for their Fall 2007 campaign, and now it’s looking like she’s moved on to be their walking advertisement, as her coat is designed by Jill Stuart as well.
