Get Joely Richardson's Disco Ball-Chic Look

The Brits always know how to add a funky twist to a classic look. Joely Richardson was one of the many celebs that came out to support designer Julien Macdonald at London Fashion Week. Sporting a shiny sliver plated jacket that resembled a disco ball, the look could have gone tragically wrong. But with her poise and grace and some fluid wide leg black trousers, the look came back to earth - or at least off the dance floor. Hive 5: Flat Sandals That Make My Shorty-ness Less of an Issue

I live life somewhere between my Havaianas and whichever pair of four-inch heels I feel like teetering around in on any given day. There's really no in-between for me. I attempted buying ballet flats on more than one occasion (really, I tried) but each time, I felt I'd be forking over the MasterCard and four inches of my soul (and at 5' 3", I don't have much to spare). That said, a pair of particularly pretty embellished flat sandals does catch my eye every so often, and they just might be the exception to my (admittedly insane) rule.
