Mystyle 3-Way: Puella's Tunic Worn Professional, Chic and Sexy

A few years ago, Tory Burch made tunics all the rage with her ethnic glam updates to the popular 60s style. Still a hot item, the loose fitting garment that flatters almost every body type is readily available in all different price ranges and materials. While an airy cotton version is a beach cover-up fave, a silk variation offers copious styling options. My friends at Red Light PR loaned me Puella's floral dress to show you how to work the tunic trend three ways. (Like what you see? Go to my hive for items that will help you mimic my looks!) Click READ MORE for three twists on the tunic trend.

Dear Stylediary: What Should I Pack for My Weekend Getaway?

Vacations can actually be stressful. For every beachside resort there is a forgotten flip flop, and for every leisurely cruise there is a cross-terminal sprint. And let's not forget the most stressful part of all, which begins even before the vacation itself-- the packing process! Longer trips give us a bit more leeway in terms of outfit options and suitcase space, but those weekend getaways are a true test. After all, pack too much and you'll automatically be the high-maintenance one of the bunch, but pack too little and you could find yourself standing outside of the club, trying to convince the bouncer that yes, they are technically flip flops, but they're $500 and Prada, and thus are fit for the venue... an argument that you'd surely win, but one you could avoid altogether by simply clicking over to Stylediary where our West Coast Bureau Chief, Patricia Handschiegel, will lend her expertise to this age-old question.

As a victim of the smudge effect myself (and I wouldn't exactly call it the sultry smoky eye effect either), I'm excited to see what she comes up with. Click on over to Stylediary to see her answer, and let us know if you have tips and techniques that I-- I mean we-- can try!

Dear Stylediary: What Should I Wear on Valentine's Day?

Fact: West coast editor Patricia Handschiegel can pull an outfit together faster than we can say "Stylediary." Also a fact: A Valentine's Day date can throw off anyone's ability to put together a winning outfit, style skill level aside. So it's no surprise that this week's question is about how to look fab for a date on February 14th! As if finding an outfit for a "normal" date isn't difficult enough, along with Valentine's Day comes the pressure of pink, red, and Hallmark, all of which combine for one sweet but stressful occasion. Then there's the fact that the stores only tell us what we should be wearing after the date, but we'd like a few more ideas than that! Click on over to Stylediary and see what Patricia has to say!

Tips To Get Your Top Tip Top!

I always have to laugh when I read columns convincing women that they will look slimmer if they wear this top, these pants, this swimsuit. I mean really, is everyone else out to make us look fatter? So rather than just simply telling you what to go out and get, I'm going to give you a few tips to make the most of what you already have. We'll start with tops. First things first. Ladies, get fitted for the right bra. Yes, the process is all kinds of awkward, but being without personal space for a few minutes is more than worth it once you see how well your clothes fit, and no joke, you can actually look around ten pounds thinner. Take that, cabbage soup diet!

Color Clashing Is Cool! So Embrace the Rainbow

Yesterday's strict style rules just don't make sense today. Never wear white during winter months? My favorite coat is winter white. Never wear black with brown, brown with blue, or blue with black? That's so 1950's. Never wear primary colors together, never wear pink with red, or pink with orange? Think again my colorful crew. It's the 21st century, and it's time to realize colors don't clash, they vibrate! Put a royal blue coat with a cream colored dress and you get one vibration, pair it with a bright red one and you get an entirely different feeling. It's all part of the fun of playing with color! Check out our slideshow for the most stylish ways to rock the color clash casbah.

StyleAdvice: The How's and Why's of Winter Waxing

It's winter and it's freezing, so why on earth should you be thinking about summer hotness? Because being covered from head to toe as you are, its a great time to try new treatments and hide the evidence. Like waxing. Yes, it sounds horrid, pulling hair out by its roots. But let me tell you, I wish someone had turned me on to it sooner - like at puberty. It would have saved me years of the expensive, messy annoyance of shaving. So read on waxing virgins, and let's walk through the do's and don'ts of the world of waxing, especially as it pertains to the chilly weather. (We bet you $100 Mrs. Claus waxes in wintertime.)

StyleSlides: What To Wear When You're High ... Up In The Air

I bring Tylenol with me to the airport for two reasons. First, flying sometimes gives me a headache, and second, the number of fashion faux-pas that I inevitably see make my eyes sore.

I'm not saying that the airport runway should be a fashion runway as well, nor do I believe that bad outfits are reason to notify security, but I do think there are a few tips worth following.

In-Flight Fashion Tip #1: Whatever you do, try to make sure that you're wearing enough clothing. Sounds silly, I know, but it could get you kicked off your flight. No kidding.

In-Flight Fashion Tip #2: By the same token, you can also be overdressed. Linen and silk clothing wrinkles easily, while 100% cotton clothing does not, so keep that in mind as you set aside your outfit.

In-Flight Fashion Tip #3: Try to keep jewelry to a minimum or keep it in your carry-on as it will slow you down at security and make sleeping even more uncomfortable. (Same with studded belts and big buckles.)

StyleAdvice: Closet Got You Down? Your Own Personal iStylist Can Help!

Celebs have amazing, enviable style, but they also have a whole army of stylists and beauty specialists making them that way! Now, us mere mortals can get in on the fun as well with this brand new website- istylista.com, where you can get an automated personal stylist of your very own!

Since I have ALWAYS wanted a stylist (how amazing life would be if I never had to pillage through piles of clothes while grappling with the closet full of clothes and NOTHING to wear dilemma) I eagerly hopped on the site to investigate.

After filling out a questionnaire on topics including body shape, clothing size, skin tone, lifestyle, face shape, hair and eye color, my style goddess appeared to point me in the right direction.

Here are some interesting tips I acquired:

- For my body shape, I am better off wearing a skirt and a sexy blouse, rather than a dress, as this will balance out my overall appearance (I can't say I wasn't a little bummed by this tidbit given my obsession with dresses.)
- I need to invest in some statement belts buckled at the waistline, which will create more curves and spice up my look to boot (I was never much of a belt wearer, but it might be time to start!)
- I should try knee length skirts with contoured waistbands that are softly gathered at the waist and paneled, which will add curves.

Style Goddess also provided me with a list of closet essentials and which colors, shapes, and fabrics to invest in for each.

But my FAVORITE shopping tidbit has to be "before buying anything- make sure the item can be worn with at least 3 other outfits in your wardrobe and think about how you could wear it over 3 of the 4 seasons.'

Duh! What have I been thinking?

Consensus:

While I stubbornly went into this thinking I wouldn't acquire any tips I didn't already know, I came out enlightened and a bit more fashion savvy, not to mention, more in tune with my shape and how to flatter my figure. I, like most women, always thought that going shopping was the solution to the 'nothing to wear' predicament. After my style session, however, I realized that I have an endless supply of ensemble options; it just takes some crafty maneuvering to reinvent an item of clothing every time you wear it.
