Your Style: Taking Magazine Looks Into the Everyday

It's one thing to read magazines, and another to take what's in them and make it wearable for the street. The outfits in Vogue and People might look slick and sophisticated on paper, but getting in and out of a car or or trying to head to class in them is a whole other story. Luckily there are a few hipsters out there who know how to take an editorial look and bring it down to street level. That's what stopped me in my tracks when I first saw Stylediarist Missinterpret. Ten great looks that could be right out of Lucky, with everyday wearability. Here's a SLIDESHOW of my favorites!

Five Favorite Cool Finds: Bright Shoes, Bright Bags

There is just something inherently cool about bright colors. I mean, think about it. They've been the key player in countless of country's flags, have adorned queens and kings of hundreds of nations, and has made candy look so incredibly enticing to millions of little kids for decades. Standalone, bold colors direct traffic (red, yellow, green) and warn us of danger (orange). Put together, and well, you have just about every since poster and piece of art from the 1960s and 70s. Just the mere thought of purple, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, and bright pink makes me happy. It makes sense, then, to pay homage with five of my favorite Cool Finds from Stylediarists!

London Stylediarist Gives Me Closet Envy

Have you ever had one of those friends who has everything cool at her house, to where visiting it is almost as exciting as visiting her? Growing up, my grade school best friend Joy had all the best dollhouse stuff - the cars, the dream houses, all the clothes. I mean, forget going to see her. You get in it for Barbie. Later on, it was Tina with her giant basement bedroom with all the hipster rocker posters and music around, or Sasha, whose designer shoe parade almost always beats out mine. The thing is, you don't mind because you get to play with it all and since it isn't yours, it always feels fresh everytime. That's the way it's going to be as you view London Stylediarist Destinyvision's look book. Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Prada€¦. Uh huh, get jealous!

StyleDiary Editor's 10 Favorite Outfits of The Month!

I won't lie. I created Stylediary.net three years ago in part because I love shopping and clothes. As a little girl, I clamored after my parents for cowboy boots in kindergarten, felt hipster in my coordinated outfits during middle school and lusted endlessly over my friend's frog print bathing suit in the second grade. By the time I was in junior high, I was a regular shopper and fashionista. I mean, I wore a fedora for my eighth grade class photo. I'm deadly serious. Fashion and I have been dating for decades. I won't go back that far, but here's a look at my favorite outfits this past month.

Irish Stylediarist is Gwen Stefani Cool

There have been few style odysseys quite like Gwen Stefani's. She's the original vintage pin-up girl, the funky bohemian chick, the chameleon who can pull off things that no one else ever thinks to or can. Her hair styles have practically earned as much press as Lindsay Lohan, and she's been doing it forever, no easy feat for any fashionista. I mean, the girl has gone out with full-out metal braces on her teeth and it worked. That's talent. Stylediarist Lucybrown has that same cool factor (without the mouth gear).

Who She Is: Lucybrown
Her Look: Hip and modern.
Why She's Cool: Great outfit ideas!

German Stylediarist Takes the Minimalist Route

In the natural order of the fashion world, designers are at an exclusive level. They're ranked alongside the editors and top shop owners but are the more mystical, creative types that get away almost anything. They look good in everything they wear, no matter how odd or typical, fluttering around their collections like master painters showing their charges how to execute their vision. Think about Karl Lagerfeld or Betsey Johnson. Some dress simple and sophisticated like Tom Ford, others, well, you know the rest. Either way, these people have presence. German student, designer and Stylediarst Mocca is the digital outtake.

Who She Is: Mocca
Her Look: Cool and quirky
Why She's Cool: Student and designer!

Swedish Stylediarist Puts Funky and Feminine in Blender, Hits "Puree"

We all know there are so many different types of style in the world. It's everywhere, around us everyday like the agents in the Matrix, only everybody's not wearing the same thing and they're not all totally cool. You've got the classic type, the trendsetters, the preppy people, the tomboys, the quirkies, and, of course, the fabulous and glamorous. Ah, but then, in the mix of it all there are those who blend styles like a Cuisinart. Virtual fashion ying and yangs, they embody the perfect balance of elements and it works. Stylediarist Elsie is that kind of girl. She mixes feminine with funky like meshing Neo with Morphesis (and is as badass, too!)
